Petr Vampola (born January 21, 1982 in Žďár nad Sázavou , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech ice hockey player who has been under contract with BK Mladá Boleslav in the Czech extra league since 2016 .
Career
Petr Vampola began his career as a hockey player in the youth department of HC Vsetín , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Extra League in the 2000/01 season . In its rookie year , the center and its team instantly became Czech champions . For two games he was also loaned to HC Šumperk from the second-class first division . In the following years, the left shooter had a regular place at HC Vsetín, but spent the playoffs of the 2002/03 season at the second division club HC Kladno , with whom he achieved promotion to the extra league .
During the 2003/04 season, Vampola was committed by Bílí Tygři Liberec , where he spent the next three years in the Extraliga. During the playoffs in the 2004/05 season, however, he played again in the first division, where he rose with HC České Budějovice . Also in the middle of the season, the former junior international signed in the 2006/07 season with HC Plzeň , where he went hunting for goals for three seasons. He then got the opportunity to play for Salawat Yulayev Ufa in the newly formed Continental Hockey League during the 2008/09 season . For the Russians, he scored once in 17 games and prepared three more goals.
The following season he returned to Plzeň, before he signed a contract with KHL newcomer HK Budiwelnik Kiev from the Ukrainian capital Kiev for the 2010/11 season . Since this did not take up the game, Vampola switched instead to HK tractor Chelyabinsk and played for this until January 2011 in the KHL. He then moved within the league to HK Awangard Omsk . In late May 2011 he was signed by Timrå IK from the Elitserien , where the Czech signed a contract for the 2011/12 season. In November of the same year, after completing 20 games and 17 scorer points, he asked to terminate his contract and moved to the National League A for Genève-Servette HC .
During the 2012/13 season he first played for the Växjö Lakers in the Elitserien , before moving to HC Škoda Plzeň in January 2013 . With his new club he won another championship title at the end of the season. After this success he signed a three-year contract with the Bílí Tygři Liberec in June. In the 2015/2016 season , Vampola won the regular season as the club's top scorer and crowned the season in the playoffs with the first championship title for the white tigers. After this success he left the team in the direction of BK Mladá Boleslav , where he received a three-year contract.
International
For the Czech Republic , Vampola took part in the U18 Junior World Championship in 2000 and the World Championship in 2010 . At the 2010 World Cup in Germany , he and his team were world champions.
