Ondřej Kratěna (born April 21, 1977 in Čeladná , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech ice hockey player who has been under contract with HC Plzeň 1929 from the Czech extra league since May 2011 . So far he has won a total of eight Czech championships .
Career
Kratěna began his career in 1994 with HC Olomouc , for whom he made his debut in the Czech extra league in 1995 . In the 1995/96 season he was one of the best rookie -Angriffsformation the Extraliga, which consists of Michal Broš , January Tomajko existed and Kratěna itself and was after the season for top rookie ausgezeichnet.1996 he moved to HC Petra Vsetín , with whom he in 1997 , 1998 and 1999 won the Czech championship . From 1999 he played a total of eight seasons for HC Sparta Prague , with which he was Czech champions in 2000 (his fourth championship in a row) and 2002 . The playoffs of the 2001/02 season he also excelled together with Michal Broš, both of whom collected 18 points scorer in twelve games, with Kratěna scoring more goals and Broš giving more templates. While Broš moved to Finland in 2005, Kratěna stayed with Sparta and won another Czech championship title at the end of the 2005/06 season . This success could be repeated in the following season and Kratěna achieved the best plus / minus rating within the extra league with +29 .
In the summer of 2007 Kratěna moved to other European countries for the first time and signed a contract with the Finnish champion Oulun Kärpät from the SM-liiga . There he met his compatriot Michal Broš , with whom he had already played in Olomouc, Vsetín and Prague. At the end of the 2007/08 season , the two Czechs and their teammates were able to win another Finnish championship for Kärpät. After this success both returned to the Czech Republic and were signed by HC Sparta Prague.
Kratěna has been under contract with HC Plzeň 1929 since 2011 and won his eighth championship title with this in 2013.
International
In addition to his success at club level, Ondřej Kratěna was also used in international championships: his first appearance in the national jersey was at the U18 European Championship in 1995 . Both in 1996 and 1997 he was then appointed to the U20 team and played in the respective Junior World Championships. For the Czech national team he has been on the ice at two world championships and won the bronze medal in 1997. Overall, Kratěna completed 37 international matches in which he scored six goals.
