The DRFG Arena (originally Hala Rondo ) is a multi-purpose hall in the Staré Brno district of the second largest Czech city of Brno ( Brno in Czech ). The circular building has a maximum audience capacity of 7,700 visitors.
history
The foundation stone for the building complex was laid in 1972. Special difficulties during construction, such as a lack of material and a sandy building site, delayed completion. The hall was opened in 1982. HC Kometa Brno has played its home games in the large ice rink since 1998 . A second ice rink, the Hala Rondo II , is also available to users of the building complex for training purposes.
In addition to the home games of HC Kometa Brno, the hall is also used for motocross , ice shows and concerts.
