Gaius Macrinius Decianus

Gaius Macrinius Decianus († after 260) was a Roman governor under the emperors Valerian and Gallienus .

Macrinius Decianus, who was possibly of Gallic origin, held successively the entry-level offices of the old cursus honorum , the bursary , the aedility and the praetor's office . Then he was first in the province of Numidia , then in Noricum representative governor.

In 259/260 he was able to repel an incursion by Moorish peoples into Numidia and thus secure Roman rule in North Africa . The consulate did not reach Macrinius Decianus.
