Scorpio Music is a well-known independent French music label.

The label

It was founded in 1976 by Henri Belolo , the co-founder of Ritchie Family and the Village People . Initially his music style was disco music , later rap and from the 1990s house and club . Numerous hits and performers appeared under this label such as 2 Unlimited , Gala , Eiffel 65 , Haddaway , Jay Dee , Black Legend , Moloko , Bellini , Bass Bumpers , Joan Jett , 20 Fingers , Ilona Mitrecey .

According to the company, the headquarters of the label, which has 10 employees, is in Paris . Independent production has continued since the 1990s - but sales are carried out by Polygram . The label is also a member of the French Record Manufacturers Association, Société civile des Producteurs de Phonogrammes en France (SPPF) , which brings together more than 800 independent labels.
