The O 2 Arena is a multifunctional hall in the Libeň district of the Czech capital Prague . It was built for the 2004 Ice Hockey World Championship . The hall is located northeast of the city center in the Prague 9 administrative district . The Českomoravská metro station on line B is located near the hall . It offers 17,000 spectators, at concerts there are up to 18,000 seats. The main user of the hall has been the HC Sparta Prague ice hockey club since the 2015/16 season . Before that, it was the city rival HC Slavia Prague , relegated from the top Czech league in 2015 .
