The 33rd European Indoor Athletics Championships were held from March 5th to 8th, 2015 in the O₂ Arena in Prague .

Applications for the venue

In addition to Prague, Istanbul had applied to host the European Indoor Championships. The decision in favor of the Czech capital was made in May 2012 in Sofia at the 132nd Council of the European Athletics Federation. Prague was already the venue for the European Indoor Games in 1967 , a forerunner of the European Indoor Championships and the 1978 European Athletics Championships .
