Anouk Vetter (* 4. February 1993 in Amsterdam ) is a Dutch athlete , referring to the heptathlon has specialized and also in the javelin throw and long jump has achieved some success.

career path

Anouk Vetter studies at the Radboud University Nijmegen .

Athletic career

As a 6-year-old, Vetter was already involved in athletics.

In 2009 she made her first international appearance at the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in Tampere .

In 2010 Vetter won her first national title in the heptathlon as a B-Junior, won two further national titles as A-Junior in 2011 and 2012 and was national champion in this age group in the 2012 javelin.

In 2015 Vetter took 8th place at the European Indoor Championships in Prague in the pentathlon with a personal best of 4548 points in the final and came 12th at the World Championships in Beijing .

In 2016, Vetter was European champion in the heptathlon in her native Amsterdam, and set a new national record with 6626 points. At the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , she reached 10th place. At the 2017 World Championships in London , she won the bronze medal in the heptathlon.

Anouk Vetter started for the Atletiekvereniging Sprint (AV Sprint) in Breda in 2014 and was previously in the Amsterdamse Atletiek Combinatie (AAC).
