Ramona Neubert (née Göhler , married Raulf ; born July 26, 1958 in Pirna ) is a former German athlete and Olympic participant who was one of the world's best pentathletes and later heptathletes in the 1970s and 1980s - starting for the GDR .

Life

She was GDR indoor champion in 1978 and reached sixth place in the pentathlon at the European championships (4380 points). In Moscow, Neubert came fourth at the 1980 Olympic Games (4698 points). The following year she was again GDR champion in the hall. In the outdoor season, she won the national title in the heptathlon and at the European Cup, she won both in the individual competition and with the team. In 1982 she won the gold medal at the European Championships in Athens (6622 points; individual performances: 13.61 s - 15.02 m - 1.83 m - 23.40 s - 6.63 m - 42.48 m - 2:11, 06 min).

Her greatest success is the victory at the 1983 World Championships in Helsinki (6714 points; individual performances: 13.29 s - 1.80 m - 15.38 m - 23.27 s - 6.67 m - 45.12 m - 2: 11.34 min). In addition, she won the European Cup again this year both individually and with the team.

In 1978 she married the athlete Christian Neubert . After the second wedding in 1986, she took the name Raulf. The trained nursery teacher studied from 1983 to 1988 at the DHFK Leipzig , Dresden branch.
