Jana Eduardauna Maksimawa ( Belarusian Яна Эдуардаўна Максімава , English transcription Yana Maksimava ; born January 9, 1989 in Vilnius ) is a Belarusian heptathlete .

Athletic career

She won the silver medal at the 2008 Junior World Championships . At the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 she finished 34th and at the European Athletics Championships 2010 in Barcelona 18th place.

In the pentathlon of the World Indoor Athletics Championships 2012 in Istanbul, she was eighth. At the Olympic Games in London she improved to 6198 points and finished 17th. In March 2013 she won the silver medal in the pentathlon at the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg with the new personal best of 4658 points.

In 2017 Maksimawa took part in the 2017 European Athletics Indoor Championships and finished eighth there.
