The 12th Junior World Championships in Athletics took place from July 8 to July 13, 2008 in the Zdzisław Krzyszkowiak Stadium in the Polish city ​​of Bydgoszcz . It was the biennial competition highlight of the best track and field athletes under 20 years of age and up to the European Football Championship 2012 the largest sporting event in the history of Poland.
