Elena Mirela Lavric (born February 17, 1991 in Pungeşti ) is a Romanian athlete who specializes in the 800-meter run .

Career

Mirela Lavric won the 800-meter title at the Junior European Championships in Hengelo in 2007 and in Novi Sad in 2009 , at the World Junior Championships in Bydgoszcz in 2008 and in Moncton in 2010 , and at the 2013 U23 European Championships in Tampere. In 2011 she reached fifth place with the Romanian relay at the U23 European Championships in Ostrava and finished seventh over 800 meters. She achieved her current 800 meter best time of 1: 59.74 minutes on May 27, 2012 in Hengelo.

Lavric won bronze in the 4 × 400 m at the 2016 World Indoor Championships . However, she tested positive during the doping control .
