Anna Jagaciak-Michalska (born February 10, 1990 in Zielona Góra as Anna Jagaciak ) is a Polish three and long jumper .

Athletic career

In 2007 Anna Jagaciak took part in the youth world championships in Ostrava in long jump and was eliminated from the qualification. She also took part in the European Youth Olympic Festival. In 2008 she finished seventh in the long jump at the Junior World Championships in Bydgoszcz and was eliminated in the triple jump in qualification. A year later she won the silver medal at the Junior European Championships in Novi Sad, Serbia, and was fourth in the triple jump. In 2011 she won the bronze medal in the long jump at the U23 European Championships in Ostrava and finished fourth in the long jump. At the Summer Universiade she was seventh in the long jump and eliminated in the triple jump in the qualification. However, she qualified for the World Championships in Daegu , where she was eliminated in the triple jump qualification. In 2012 she was eliminated from the long jump qualification of the European Championships in Helsinki .

In 2013 she won the silver medal in the triple jump and took seventh place in the long jump at the Summer Universiade in Kazan . At the World Championships in Moscow in the same year she was tenth in the triple jump. In 2014 she took part in the World Indoor Championships in Sopot , where she was eliminated in the triple jump qualification, as well as in the European Championships in August. In 2015 the student games were successful again for Jagaciak-Michalska. In the long jump she secured the silver medal with 6.57 meters and in the triple jump she won the bronze medal this time. In 2016, as fourth in the triple jump, she narrowly missed a medal at the 2016 European Athletics Championships in Amsterdam . She managed to qualify for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where she finished tenth in the triple jump .

At the European Indoor Championships 2017 in Belgrade she set a new best in qualification and finished the final in fourth place with 14.14 m. In the triple jump, she qualified for the world championships in London, where she 14.25 meters in the final sixth place. The following year she was eliminated from the qualification at the European Championships in Berlin with 14.01 m.

Jagaciak-Michalska is multiple Polish champion in long and triple jump. She won the outdoor long jump titles in 2010, 2016, 2017 and 2018 as well as indoor in 2016, 2017 and 2018. In the triple jump (2013, 2014 and from 2016 to 2018 outdoors and from 2013 to 2018 also indoors). In 2014 she married the Polish pole vaulter Łukasz Michalski and has since started under the double name Jagaciak-Michalska .
