Benjamin Kiplagat (born March 4, 1989 in Magoro , Bukwo District , Eastern Region) is a Ugandan obstacle and long-distance runner .

At the 2006 World Cross Country Championships in Fukuoka, he finished 50th on the short distance.

In 2007 he was seventh over 3000 m obstacle course at the Africa Games in Algiers and was eliminated in the preliminary stages at the World Athletics Championships in Osaka .

In 2008 he won silver in this discipline at the Junior World Athletics Championships in Bydgoszcz and was ninth at the Olympic Games in Beijing and fifth at the World Athletics Finals . At the 2009 World Cup in Berlin, he came eleventh.

In 2010 he was fifth at the African Athletics Championships in Nairobi and fourth at the Continental Athletics Cup in Split and at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi . At the 2011 World Cup in Daegu, he was tenth.

In 2012 he won bronze at the African Championships in Porto-Novo . At the Olympic Games in London he was disqualified in the final because he had crossed the inside of the track.

At the 2013 World Cup in Moscow, he came in 14th place, and at the 2015 World Cup in Beijing, he did not get past the first round.
