Juan Meza

Juan Meza (born as Jesus Fernandez on 18th March 1956 in Mexicali , Mexico ) is a former Mexican boxer in the super bantamweight . He was managed by Jimmy Montoya .

Meza's professional debut came on September 23, 1977 with a win over Elias Rodriguez. On November 3, 1984, he became world champion of the WBC association when he brought his first defeat to the previously undefeated Jaime Garza (40-0-0). The following year he defended the super bantamweight title against Mike Ayala , but then lost it to Lupe Pintor .

In 1997 he ended his career after a total of 45 wins and 9 lost fights.
