Helga Margrét Þorsteinsdóttir (born November 15, 1991 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic heptathlete .

In 2007 she finished 5th at the World Youth Championships in Ostrava (5405 points) and in 2008 at the Junior World Championships in Bydgoszcz 7th place (5516 points). In 2010 she achieved 2nd place (5757 points) in the 2nd division of the European Team Championship in Tel Aviv-Jaffa and 3rd place (5706 points) at the Junior World Championships in Moncton . In 2010 she took part in the European Championships in Barcelona , but did not finish the competition.

Helga Margrét Þorsteinsdóttir also started in individual disciplines. At the Games of the Small States of Europe she took 2nd place in the long jump (5.77 m) in Monaco in 2007 and 2nd place in the high jump (1.75 m) and third place in the shot put (13.60 m) in Nicosia in 2009 m) and in the javelin throw (48.56 m) as well as with the 4-by-100 and with the 4-by-400-meter relay. In 2009 she took 2nd place in the third division of the European Team Championship in the shot put (13.78 m), 3rd place with the 4 x 100 meter relay and 4th place in the javelin throw (42.43 m) m).

In June 2009 she set an Icelandic national record with 5878 points. In 2010 she set a national record in the indoor pentathlon with 4205 points.
