Anna Kiełbasińska (born June 26, 1990 in Warsaw ) is a Polish athlete who specializes in 100 , 200 and 400 meter runs and occasionally starts over 100 meter hurdles.

Athletic career

In 2008 Anna Kiełbasińska took part in the U18 World Championships in Bydgoszcz , where she finished 7th in the final over 200 meters. With the Polish season, she retired in advance. At the junior European championships the following year, she won the bronze medal over 200 meters and the silver medal in the relay. In 2011 she recorded her greatest success with the gold medal over 200 meters at the U23 European Championships and bronze over 100 meters. She also qualified over 200 meters and with the relay for the World Championships in Daegu , but was eliminated in both competitions in the preliminary stages. Another success was the qualification over 200 meters for the Olympic Games in London , in which she was eliminated in the preliminary stages.

The following two years she could not record any major successes, with the exception of participating in the World Indoor Championships in her home town Sopot . In 2015, she was able to build on her old form and started at the World Championships in Beijing over 200 meters and in the relay. At the European Championships in Amsterdam in 2016 , she finished seventh with the Polish relay team. She reached the semi-finals over 200 meters. At the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , she took twelfth place in the preliminary round with the Polish 4 x 100 meter relay and thus did not qualify for the final. Over 200 meters she was eliminated in the preliminary round.
