Agnès Raharolahy (born November 7, 1992 in Alençon ) is a French athlete who specializes in the 400-meter run . She achieved her greatest successes with the French 4 x 400 meter relay .

Athletic career

She was a gymnast before she found her way into athletics through her brother by chance. She first attracted attention when she reached fourth place over 400 meters at the European Junior Championships in Tallinn in 2011 and was fifth in the French 4 x 400 meter relay with Louise-Anne Bertheau , Maëva Contion and Aurélie Chaboudez .

In 2013 she was a substitute runner when the French relay team ran in fourth place at the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg . In the summer Raharolahy took part in the U23 European Championships in Tampere , where she was fourth and was able to lead the relay with Lénora Guion-Firmin , Justine Fedronic and Louise-Anne Bertheau to the bronze medal as the final runner .

In 2014 she finished fourth at the IAAF World Relays with Marie Gayot , Lenora Guion-Firmin and Floria Gueï . Agnès Raharolahy finally won her first title at a major international event at the 2014 European Championships in Zurich , when she was European champion with Muriel Hurtis , Marie Gayot and Floria Gueï.

Raharolahy was also able to win the gold medal with the French relay team with Floria Gueï, Elea Mariama Diarra and Marie Gayot at the 2015 European Indoor Championships in Prague . In June 2015, she improved her 400-meter best to 52.23 s. At the 2015 World Championships in Beijing , she came in seventh place with the relay with Estelle Perrossier , Marie Gayot and Floria Gueï.

In the 2017 indoor season, Agnès Raharolahy set a new record and also took part in the European Indoor Championships in Belgrade . Over 400 meters she made it to the semifinals and with the relay she reached fifth place.
