Pat Lowe
Pat Lowe (actually Patricia Barbara Lowe, married Cropper ; born September 15, 1943 in Leicester ) is a former British middle-distance runner and sprinter .
At the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston in 1966 , starting for England , she was fifth over 880 yards and sixth over 800 meters at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City .
In 1969 she was also sixth over 800 meters at the European Championships in Athens . In the 4 x 400 meter relay , which was held for the first time , she set a world record with Rosemary Stirling , Janet Simpson and Lillian Board with 3: 30.8 minutes.
She won the silver medal over 800 meters at the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh in 1970 and at the European Championships in Helsinki in 1971 . At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich , she was eliminated over 800 meters in the lead.
In 1969 she became English champion over 800 meters.
Pat Lowe started for the Birchfield Harriers and was trained by Bill Marlow. Since 1971 she was married to middle-distance runner Dave Cropper, who died in 2016 .
