Dave Cropper
Dave Cropper OBE (actually David Cropper; born September 26, 1945 in Birmingham ; † December 3, 2016 ) was a British middle -distance runner who specialized in the 800-meter distance .
At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City, the European Athletics Championships in Athens in 1969 and the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, he reached the semifinals.
In 1969 he became English champion. He set his personal best of 1: 46.8 minutes on July 1, 1973 in Leipzig .
Since 1971 he was married to the middle-distance runner and sprinter Pat Lowe . In 2005 he was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire .
