Ilona Ussowitsch ( Belarusian Ілона Усовіч , English transcription Ilona Usovich ; born November 14, 1982 in Cherven ) is a Belarusian sprinter who specializes in the 400-meter run .

Like her older sister Svyatlana Ussowitsch , she attended the national sports school in Minsk and was then trained by Igor Sakharevich. At the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Budapest in 2004 , both sisters were part of the Belarusian relay team, which won silver in the 4 x 400 meter relay .

In the same year, at the Olympic Games in Athens with the Belarusian team, she narrowly missed the final of the 4 x 400 meter relay. In 2005 she was fourth at the European Indoor Championships in Madrid and reached the semifinals at the World Championships in Helsinki . In 2006 she won bronze in the 4 x 400 meter relay at the World Indoor Championships in Moscow . At the European Championships in Gothenburg she was fifth in the individual competition and won silver in the relay.

In the following year, silver in the individual competition and gold in the relay at the European Indoor Championships in Birmingham and a seventh place over 400 m and a fifth place in the relay at the World Championships in Osaka .

In 2008 she was only used in the relay at major events: at the World Indoor Championships in Valencia she won silver with the Belarusian team, and at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing she came third.
