Swjatlana Ussowitsch (English transcription Sviatlana Usovich ; born October 14, 1980 ) is a Belarusian sprinter and middle-distance runner .

Initially, she specialized in the 400-meter run . She celebrated her first success at the European Indoor Championships in Vienna in 2002 , where she won the gold medal. At the European Championships in Munich in 2002 , she reached seventh place six months later. A year later at the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham she was sixth. At the World Championships in Paris / Saint-Denis , she was also eliminated in the semi-finals as in 2004 at the World Indoor Championships in Budapest and the Olympic Games in Athens . In the 4 x 400 meter relay , she was eliminated with the Belarusian team in the preliminary run. At the European Indoor Championships in Madrid in 2005 , she won the silver medal. Then she switched to the 800 meter distance and immediately reached the semi-finals at the World Championships in Helsinki . Two years later at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka, she reached sixth place in the final. In 2008 she won silver with the Belarusian relay at the World Indoor Championships in Valencia . At the Olympic Games in Beijing she reached the semifinals and was third in the 4 x 400 meter relay with the Belarusian quartet.

At the 2010 European Championships in Barcelona and the 2011 World Championships in Daegu, she was eliminated in the preliminary stages.

In a subsequent test of the doping sample from 2008, Ussowitsch tested positive for Turinabol in 2016 and was disqualified by the IOC.
