Athletic career

Kalamojez gained his first international experience at the Junior World Championships in 2008 in Bydgoszcz , Poland , where he finished fifth with 74.22 m. A year later he was eleventh at the U23 European Championships in Kaunas with a width of 65.62 m. Two years later he finished sixth at the U23 European Championships in Ostrava with 71.84 m and fourth at the Summer Universiade in Shenzhen , China, with 72.23 m. In 2013 he finished sixth at the Student World Games in Kazan with 74.18 m and in 2014 he failed at the European Championships in Zurich with 72.14 m.

Kalamojez 'greatest success so far is winning the bronze medal at the 2015 Summer Universiade in Gwangju , Korea , where he only placed first-placed Pole Paweł Fajdek (80.05 m) and his second place with a throw of 74.68 m compatriot Pavel Barejscha (75.75 m) was beaten. At the 2016 European Championships in Amsterdam , Kalamojez failed because of his competition and had to be content with sixth place with a thrown 74.65 m and thus more than six meters difference to the distance achieved by the gold medalist Paweł Fajdek from Poland (80.93 m). He then took part in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and took ninth place in the final with a throw of 74.22 m. In 2017 he qualified for the first time for the World Championships in London , where he was eliminated with 71.90 m in the qualifying round.
