Robert Hering
Robert Hering (born June 14, 1990 in Gera ) is a German athlete who specializes in the 200-meter run .
career path
Hering is a sports soldier in a Bundeswehr sports promotion group .
Athletic career
Already in the junior sector he achieved his first successes on an international level. With the German 4 x 100 meter relay , he was twice Junior European Champion (2007 and 2009). In the 200-meter run, he won the bronze medal at the 2008 Junior World Championships in Bydgoszcz and the silver medal at the 2009 European Junior Championships.
In the 2009 season he established himself in the adult sector. In July he won the German championship title over 200 m in a new personal best of 20.41 s and thus qualified for the 2009 World Championships in Berlin , where he reached the semi-finals. In 2010 he took third place at the German Championships .
In 2017, Hering was European team champion in Lille, northern France , and came 2nd in the 4 x 100 meter relay . In Erfurt he came in 5th place at the German championships in the 100 meter run.
Robert Hering is 1.80 m tall and has a competition weight of 78 kg.
Club affiliations
Hering started in 2002 for TuS Jena , later for LC Jena and LAZ Leipzig . At the moment (2017) he belongs to TV Wattenscheid 01 .
