The 115th German Athletics Championships took place from July 24th to 26th, 2015 in Nuremberg . This was the fifth time after 1919 , 1934 , 1948 and 2008 that Nuremberg won the national title fights. Most of the competitions took place on Saturday and Sunday in the Grundig Stadium . In order to achieve better publicity, the long jump competitions were held on Friday evening on a specially constructed facility on the main market .
Some of the DLV championship competitions take place on different dates and in different locations.
- In 2015 the championships began with the cross-country races on March 7th in Markt Indersdorf .
- The 100 km road race followed on April 11th in St. Leon-Rot .
- One day later there was the half marathon in Husum .
- On April 19, the competitions for 20 km walking took place in Naumburg .
- The 10,000 m run followed on May 2nd in Ohrdruf .
- It continued on May 16 with the mountain races in Bühlertal in the Black Forest .
- On June 13th, the competitions in track walking over 5000 meters (women) and 10,000 (men) followed in Düsseldorf .
- The long seasons were as in the years before as part of the German Youth Championships held this year in Jena on August 2.
- The competitions in the 10 km road race took place in Bad Liebenzell on September 6th.
- The 50 km walk was held in Andernach on October 10th .
- Finally, the Frankfurt Marathon ended with the marathon on October 25th. Here Arne Gabius improved the German record to 2:08:33 h and thus fulfilled the Olympic standard.
- The all-around championships had to be canceled because there was no organizer.
