Steffi Volke (born July 1, 1976 in Schongau ) is a former German marathon runner .

Career

In 2008 she won the half marathon competition of the Darmstadt Marathon and then joined the LG Regensburg . When Silvesterlauf Munich was fourth. In 2009 she was ninth at the German Half Marathon Championships and won gold with the team of LG Regensburg. At her premiere over the 42.195 km distance she was eleventh overall in the Gutenberg Marathon, ninth of the German Marathon Championships , and second in the New Year's Eve in Munich.

In the following year she came in 13th place at the German Half Marathon Championships and defended the team title with the LG Regensburg. At the Gutenberg Marathon she was overall seventh and third in the German Marathon Championships, and seventh at the German Championships in 10 km road running. In 2011 she was the eleventh overall German marathon champion in the Hamburg Marathon. In 2014 she finished sixth in the German Half Marathon Championships, which were integrated into the half marathon competition of the Freiburg Marathon . With a victory at the Munich marathon , she again achieved the title of German champion. With a new personal best she achieved 22nd place overall at the 2015 Frankfurt Marathon and at the same time third place in the German Marathon Championships.
