LG Filstal

The LG Filstal is an athletics community in the district of Göppingen .

LG Filstal was founded in November 1988. In the meantime, other clubs have joined, so that the LG currently consists of the athletics departments of the clubs TV Altenstadt, TV Deggingen, TV Ebersbach, TG Geislingen, TB Gingen, SSV Hausen, TGV Holzhausen and TSV Kuchen.

Every year LG athletes take part in over 60 different competitions and over 200 schoolchildren, young people and active people start for the LG Filstal. A runner-up world championship, a student world championship, a runner-up European championship, over 10 German champions and German runner-up titles, well over 100 Wuerttemberg or Baden-Wuerttemberg champions and over 1000 district and district championships were collected by the successful athletes of the LG Filstal past years.

Anna Schultze , Alexander Straub , Simon Elsner, Martin Münkle, Matthias Aigner and Patrick Sihler, who has meanwhile started for LAZ Salamander Kornwestheim-Ludwigsburg , have been the guarantors for the success on the German level in the past few years.

Due to the good work with young talent, LG Filstal operates an officially recognized performance promotion group of the Württemberg Athletics Association . In this two-part support group, particularly talented athletes from the member clubs and from clubs in the Göppingen district are further challenged and promoted through additional training and other special measures with the support of the association and the LG Filstal. All successful LG athletes were or are members of this support group.

Friends of the LG Filstal

The Förderverein LG Filstal eV has set itself the task of supporting and promoting athletics in the member associations of LG Filstal in an ideal and financial way. He wants to maintain and increase the attractiveness of athletics as a sport and has the goal of further improving the personal and material requirements for successful leisure and competitive athletics of the member clubs.
