The LAZ Salamander Kornwestheim-Ludwigsburg was an athletics center (LAZ) as a merger of the former starter communities LG Salamander Kornwestheim and SG Ludwigsburg . When it was founded in 2002, the following sub-clubs were involved: 1. FV Kornwestheim , TV Kornwestheim (both merged in 2006 into SV Salamander Kornwestheim ), SKV Eglosheim, MTV Ludwigsburg, TV Neckarweihingen, ASV Oßweil, KSV Hoheneck, DJK Ludwigsburg, SV Spiegelberg and TV Marbach. At the end of 2008, KSV Hoheneck left the LAZ.

In October 2016 the LAZ Salamander announced that it was disbanding for the new 2017 season. The Ludwigsburg member associations founded the LAZ Ludwigsburg a little later .

The club was known in Germany for its good work with schoolchildren and young people, as well as for its top athletes Marie-Laurence Jungfleisch , Marian Reichert, Peter Esenwein and Nadine Hildebrand , who were among the best in Germany and internationally successful.

  • 2014: German U23 championships in pole vault (Marian Reichert)
  • 2015: German U20 championship with the 4 x 100 meter relay 41.14 s (Josué Ndombasi, Michael Nager, Henrik Hannemann, Israel Ereme)
  • 2015: German U23 championship in high jump ( David Nopper )
  • 2015: German championship in high jump (David Nopper)
