Dennis Krüger (born April 24, 1993 in Berlin ) is a German athlete who specializes in the 800-meter run .

Athletic career

Krüger began his sporting career at LAC Berlin under coach Wolfgang Klee. In 2010 he won the German U18 championships, in 2011 he was German junior champion outdoors and indoors. At the Junior World Championships in Barcelona in 2012 , he finished eighth. In 2014 he won the German U23 championships. In the same year he achieved his breakthrough in the active class by winning the German championships in Ulm and being nominated for the European championships in Zurich . In Zurich he reached the semi-finals, but missed the finals as sixth of his run.

In 2015 Krüger finished fourth at the U23 European Championships in Tallinn and successfully defended his title at the German Championships in Nuremberg .

Krüger has been playing for 1. VfL Fortuna Marzahn since 2014 and is trained by Hans-Jürgen Stephan. He is studying business law at the Berlin School of Economics and Law .
