Rebekka Ackers (born March 10, 1990 ) is a German athlete who specializes in the 800-meter run .

career path

Ackers attended the Erasmus-von-Rotterdam-Gymnasium Viersen , completed a bachelor's degree in business psychology at the University of Cologne Executive School and graduated from Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf with a master’s degree in business administration . She is employed by a specialty chemicals manufacturer .

Athletic career

Rebekka Ackers set several district records in the age groups W12 and W13 in 2002 and 2003 and held W14 records in the heptathlon and block competition litter .

In 2015 Ackers became German runner-up in the women's age group with the 3 x 800 meter relay.

2016 began for Ackers with a German indoor record of 6: 22.59 min in the 3 x 800 meter relay with Carolin Walter and Lena Klaassen in the women’s class as part of the German Youth Championships , and outdoors she was the same Line-up of the German runner-up .

In 2017 Ackers took 3rd place, first at the German indoor championships over 800 meters and a week later with the 3-by-800-meter relay in the women’s group as part of the German youth indoor championships . On August 6th in Ulm she won the German championship with the 3 x 800 meter relay of TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

Ackers is not in the squad of the German Athletics Association (DLV) .

Club affiliations

Rebekka Ackers has started for TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen since 2011 . She previously started for the ASV Einigkeit Süchteln .
