The ASV Einigkeit Süchteln (officially: Allgemeine Sportverein Einigkeit 1860/03/06 Süchteln eV ) is a sports club from the Viersen district of Süchteln . The first women's handball team once took part in the DHB Cup .
history
In 1860 the Süchtelner Turnverein was founded, which seven years later took on the name Turnerschaft Germania Süchteln . This merged in 1969 with FC 03 Süchteln to form ASV Süchteln 1860/03 . On May 13, 1985 ASV Süchteln merged with the gymnastics club Einigkeit Süchteln-Vorst, which was founded in 1906, to form today's ASV Einigkeit Süchteln. With around 3,000 members, ASV Unity is the largest sports club in the Viersen district. Besides handball club still offers badminton , soccer , health Sport, heart sports , judo , athletics , rehabilitation sports , swimming , diving , table tennis , trampolining , gymnastics , volleyball , triathlon and BMX on.
Handball
The handball players of ASV Einigkeit qualified for the DHB Women's Cup in 2009. There they met the second division TV Beyeröhde in the first round and lost significantly with 16:45. At the end of the season, the team rose from the Oberliga Niederrhein. Since relegation in 2014, the women of ASV Einigkeit have been playing in the regional league. The men's team also plays in the national league.
Soccer
The footballers of ASV Einigkeit played in the district league for years before being promoted to the regional league in 2012 . Behind VfB 03 Hilden , the addicts were runner-up in the following 2012/13 national league season. A year later, the team had to relegate back to the district league. In 2015/16 you failed as a runner-up in a promotion round at the Landesliga return. This succeeded a year later as a master.
The home arena is the Süchtelner Höhen sports park , which has two grass pitches and one artificial turf pitch. In addition, games take place in the Volksbank Arena , which is played on artificial turf . Selected games by the addicts can be viewed live on the Sport Total online portal. 26 teams (4 × men, 2 × old men, 1 × women, 2 × girls and 17 × boys) are currently participating in the game.
