Jens Bäumer (born August 9, 1978 in Münster ) is a former German football player .
Career
In his youth he played for TuS Hiltrup , TSV Schwaigern and VfR Heilbronn . Bäumer began his professional football career at Karlsruher SC in the Bundesliga . In 2000 he moved to Borussia Mönchengladbach , where he was under contract for three years. In 2003 he went to Preußen Münster in the Regionalliga Nord . After three years he signed a contract with Rot Weiss Ahlen in 2006 . With the Ahlenern, he rose again to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2008.
Between 1998 and 1999 he also played six games for the German U-21 national football team .
The midfielder played eleven games in the Bundesliga (no goal), 79 games in the 2nd Bundesliga (4 goals) and 160 games in the Regionalliga (13 goals).
In November 2017 he became the head coach of the U17 junior women at SC 13 Bad Neuenahr , and in February 2018 he received the Trainer A license at the Hennes Weisweiler Academy . For the 2019/20 season he was assistant coach of the U14 Borussia Mönchengladbach.
