history
During the construction of the R7 motorway in 2010, the remains of a Roman mansio (rest area) with several rooms and a thermal bath were discovered near Poslishta . Most likely there was also a rest station for horses ( Latin mutatio ) at this point . Such systems existed on every important Roman road, in this case the Via Lissus-Naissus , the ancient connection between the present-day cities of Lezha and Niš .
After the conquest of Kosovo by the Kingdom of Serbia during the First Balkan War in 1912, the Serbian government set up a military administration on site, with Poslishta becoming part of the newly created municipality of Hoča Zagradska (today Hoça e Qytetit ). On January 6, 1929, this administrative division was dissolved, whereupon the area became part of the newly created Vardarska banovina within the Kingdom of Yugoslavia .
A census carried out in 1919 recorded 11 houses with 85 - all Albanian - residents in Poslishta .
