Kushnin ( Albanian  also  Kushnini , Serbian Кушнин Kušnin ) is a village in the southwest of Kosovo , which belongs to the municipality of Prizren .

geography

Kushnin, located in the southwest of Kosovo at around 400  m , is on the edge of the Has highlands , which is in the south of the village with the Pashtrik ( 1988  m above sea level ) and west with the Maja e Kunorës ( 1511  m above sea level ). as the highest points raised. In the north, the district of Lagjja e Shehut of Damjan joins; to the east is Kabash i Hasit .

history

After the conquest of Kosovo by the Kingdom of Serbia during the First Balkan War in 1912, the Serbian government set up a military administration on site, with Kushnin becoming part of the newly created municipality of Ljubižda Has (now Lubizhda e Hasit ).

population

The 2011 census determined that Kushnin had a population of 2110, of which 2109 (99.95%) are Albanians .

A census carried out in 1919 found 46 houses with 415 - all Albanian - inhabitants in the village of Kushnin.
