Vlashnja ( Albanian also Vlashnjë , Serbian Влашња Vlašnja ) is a village in southwest Kosovo and belongs to the municipality of Prizren .
geography
Vlashnja, in the southwest of Kosovo, is about ten kilometers east of the border with Albania and about three kilometers west of Prizren . Other neighboring towns are Grazhdanik north , Muradem west and Poslishta south .
Vlashnja is on the M-25 national road ; In addition, the Prizren-Süd exit of the Route 7 motorway is near Vlashnja.

history
After the conquest of Kosovo by the Kingdom of Serbia during the First Balkan War in 1912, the Serbian government set up a military administration on site, creating a separate municipality of Vlašnja , which also included the villages of Nashec , Atmaxha and Grazhdanik . The community belonged to the Srez Šar of the superior Okrug Prizren . This administrative division existed until January 6, 1929, when the area became part of the newly created Vardarska banovina within the Kingdom of Yugoslavia .
A census carried out in 1919 recorded 37 houses with 310 - all Albanian - residents in the village of Vlashnja .

The census from 2011 showed a population of 1700 for Vlashnja. 1698 (99.88%) of these identified themselves as Albanians and one person as Bosniak .

In 2011, 1699 (99.94%) of the 1700 inhabitants professed Islam .
