The 62nd German Indoor Athletics Championships were held on February 21 and 22, 2015 in Karlsruhe Exhibition Hall 2 . This was the eighth time that Karlsruhe hosted the national indoor championships. A total of 8,600 spectators attended.
Originally, the competitions were supposed to take place in the Europahalle Karlsruhe as usual , but after it was closed for major events for security reasons, the city council decided to upgrade exhibition hall 2 for athletics competitions. To this end, the city of Gothenburg took over the mobile track for the European Indoor Championships in 2013 , which with six 200-meter circular tracks has two more than the Europahall and met the highest international standards.
Outsourced competitions
The all-round competitions were canceled. The walking competitions were held on February 27 at the German Indoor Walking Championships in Erfurt. The long relay took place on February 15th as part of the German Youth Indoor Championships in Neubrandenburg.
