The 55th German Indoor Athletics Championships took place in Sindelfingen from February 23 to 24 . Sindelfingen was the host for the thirteenth time. The competitions were held in the Sindelfingen Glass Palace in the west of the town, where Colin Jackson had set the men's world record for the 60 meter hurdles in 2008 in 7.3 seconds.
