Julia Hütter (born July 26, 1983 in Neuwied ) is a German former pole vaulter .

Life

Hütter started for the LAZ Bruchköbel until she moved to LG Eintracht Frankfurt in 2011 . She first attracted attention in 2000 when she became German B youth champion. At the Summer Universiade 2005 in Izmir, she became student world champion.

In 2007 she was German champion for the first time and sixth at the European Indoor Championships shortly afterwards. In the open-air season she was second at the German championships. She was able to qualify for the 2007 World Championships in Osaka, but where she missed the final.

In Sindelfingen in 2008 Hütter defended her German championship title in the hall. At the World Indoor Championships in Valencia, she reached tenth place.

In June 2008 she was seriously injured at the athletics gala in Regensburg when she fell into the puncture box from a height of 4.50 m while trying to cross the bar. Hütter tore a cruciate ligament in her left knee as well as a bone splinter in her right ankle, which meant that she missed the Olympic Games in Beijing.

In May 2013, Hütter ended her sporting career.

Hütter is a commissioner at the Hessian police.
