Mareike Peters (born January 9, 1986 in Aurich ) is a German athlete who became German champion in the 200-meter run in 2008 .

Mareike Peters started at SV Georgsheil and then moved to TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen . In 2007 she was German runner-up in the 200 meter hall. In the summer of 2007 she also started at the U23 European Championships. With the German 4 x 100 meter relay in the line-up of Anne-Kathrin Elbe , Verena Sailer , Mareike Peters and Anne Möllinger , she won silver in 43.75 seconds behind the Russian relay.

At the German Indoor Championships in 2008 she was again second over 200 meters. With the Leverkusen indoor relay (Elbe, Peters, Schulz, Nwachukwu ) she became German champion. Peters then won her first individual title in the outdoor season. After running a personal best in 23.52 s in the run-up, she won the final in 23.62 s.

In 2008 Peters traveled to the Olympic Games in Beijing with the German 4 x 100 meter relay as a substitute runner. In 2009, 2010 and 2011 she was again German indoor champion with the 4 x 200 meter relay from TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Outdoors, the Leverkusen 4 x 100 meter relay ( Brandt , Tschirch , Peters, Oeser ) won the 2011 German championship title .

Mareike Peters is 1.67 m tall and has a competition weight of 54 kg. She is a trained office clerk and a member of the Bundeswehr's sports promotion group .
