Cathleen Tschirch (born July 23, 1979 in Dresden ) is a German sprinter .

Life

Tschirch started her athletics career at Dresdner SC , moved to LG Weserbergland in 2004 and joined TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen in 2009 . With the 4 x 100 meter relay of the LG Weserbergland, Tschirch has regularly won medals at German championships in recent years, in 2006, 2007 and 2008 she was German champion with the relay. In 2007 and 2009, she won the 200-meter run , and she also won the indoor title in 2007 and 2012. In 2011 she became German champion in the 100-meter run .

At the European Championships in Gothenburg in 2006 , the relay lost the baton in the run-up and had to give up. A year later, at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka, Tschirch reached the intermediate run over 200 meters. The season made it into the final, with Katja Wakan , Cathleen Tschirch, Johanna Kedzierski and Verena Sailer , the season was seventh in 43.51 s. At the 2008 Olympic Games , the season was fourth. At the 2009 World Championships in Berlin, she won the bronze medal with the 4 x 100 meter relay.

Tschirch's best times are 11.30 s (2012) and 22.97 s (2007). At a height of 1.65 m, she has a competition weight of 56 kg.
