Anne Cibis , until her wedding in 2012 Anne Möllinger (born September 27, 1985 in Worms ), is a former German athlete who won the bronze medal at the 2009 World Championships and the 2012 European Championships with the German 4 x 100 meter relay won the gold medal.

Life

Since 1997 Anne Cibis has been doing athletics with the 1846 Worms gymnastics community , and in 2003 she moved to MTG Mannheim . In 2003 she also took part in the European Junior Championships in Tampere, but retired in the 100-meter run in the preliminary run. In 2004 she reached the final at the Junior World Championships in Grosseto with the 4 x 100 meter relay , but there the relay was disqualified. In 2005, when she also passed her Abitur at the Rudi-Stephan-Gymnasium in Worms, Cibis became German champion in the hall and in the open air with the relay of the MTG Mannheim. At the U23 European Championships in 2005 in Erfurt, she won the silver medal in 44.89 seconds behind the French as the final runner in the German relay team ( Karoline Köhler , Verena Sailer , Johanna Kedzierski , Anne Cibis). She won this medal two years later in Debrecen, when she was again the final runner in the German relay, which only had to admit defeat to the Russian team. At 43.75 s, Anne-Kathrin Elbe , Verena Sailer, Mareike Peters and Anne Cibis' time was over a second faster than in 2005.

At the German Championships in 2008 Cibis took third place over 100 meters and thus qualified for the German relay at the Olympic Games in Beijing, where the relay reached fourth place. In 2009, Cibis became German indoor champion over 200 meters . At the 2009 World Championships in Berlin, she won the bronze medal with the 4 x 100 meter relay behind Jamaica and the Bahamas ( Marion Wagner , Anne Cibis, Cathleen Tschirch , Verena Sailer). The following year she was able to defend her German championship title in the hall. At the European Championships in 2010 and the World Championships in 2011 , the German relay lost the baton.

In Helsinki, Cibis reached the finals over 100 meters at the European Championships 2012 for the first time in an international competition and was seventh with 11.54 s. Then she won the gold medal in the 4 x 100 meter relay together with Leena Günther , Tatjana Pinto and Verena Sailer . In the same line-up, the season reached fifth place at the Olympic Games in London. After the games, she announced her retirement from competitive sports. At the end of the season she was named Sportswoman of the Year 2012 by the city of Mannheim ahead of Elisabeth Seitz and Carolin Leonhardt .

Cibis' best time over 100 meters is 11.17 s (2012), over 200 meters is 23.15 s (2012). With a height of 1.73 m, she had a competition weight of 68 kg. Cibis was trained by Valerij Bauer . She studied sports and mathematics at the University of Heidelberg to become a teacher and graduated successfully in 2010. After her legal traineeship, she started working as a teacher at a school in Mannheim in 2012.
