Nettie Witziers-Timmer

Jeanette Josephina Maria "Nettie" Witziers-Timmer (born July 22, 1923 in Amsterdam ; † January 25, 2005 there ; born Jeanette Timmer ) was a Dutch athlete .

She celebrated her greatest success in 1948 at the Olympic Games in London . Together with Xenia Stad-de Jong , Gerda van der Kade-Koudijs and the flying housewife Fanny Blankers-Koen , she became Olympic champion in the 4 x 100 meter relay race .

Two years before her Olympic victory, she had already become European champion together with the Dutch 4 x 100 meter relay in Oslo .
