Norma Croker
Norma Croker Fleming (born September 11, 1934 in Brisbane , Queensland , Australia ; † August 21, 2019 there ) was an Australian athlete and Olympic champion .
In 1956 she finished fourth over 100 yards and third over 220 yards at the Australian Championships. Croker won sixth place over 100 yards and third place over 220 yards at the Australian Championships in 1960. She won the bronze medal in the long jump and fourth in the 4-by-110-yard relay.
At the XVI. At the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne , she reached fourth place in the 200-meter run and the team gold medal in the 4 x 100-meter relay race , together with her teammates Shirley Strickland , Fleur Mellor and Betty Cuthbert , ahead of the team from Great Britain (silver ) and the team from the USA (bronze). At the XVII. At the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome , she was disqualified in the same discipline and reached 15th place in the long jump .
