Chandra Sturrup (born September 12, 1971 in Nassau ) is a Bahamian athlete who has been among the world's best in 100-meter and 200-meter races since the 1990s . She was Olympic champion in 2000 with the 4 x 100 meter relay of her country and in 2001 and 2003 third in the 100 meter individual race in the world championship .

In 1999, the former volleyball player and long jumper Sturrup had her great international success by winning the 4 x 100 meter relay at the 1999 World Championships .

Already at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta she won the team silver medal in the 4 x 100 meter relay race together with her teammates Eldece Clarke , Savatheda Fynes and Pauline Davis , as well as the team gold medal in the same discipline at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney with her teammates Savatheda Fynes, Pauline Davis and Debbie Ferguson .

At the World Championships in Edmonton in 2001 and in Paris in 2003 , she won the bronze medal over 100 meters. Her personal best was 10.84 s in 2005, which made her one of the favorites at the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki. With 11.09 s she reached fourth place. The personal best of 10.84 s would have been enough for a gold medal in Finland.

Chandra Sturrup is 1.59 m tall and has a competition weight of 52 kg.
