Marina Evgenjewna Trandenkowa , b. Kriwoscheina , ( Russian Марина Евгеньевна Транденкова , English transcription Marina Trandenkova ; born January 7, 1967 in Riga ) is a former Russian sprinter .

She celebrated the greatest success of her career at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona in the 4 x 100 meter relay with the united team . Together with Olga Bogoslowskaja , Galina Maltschugina and Irina Priwalowa , she won the silver medal behind the relay of the United States and in front of the team from Nigeria in 42.16 seconds . In the 200-meter run Trandenkowa was eliminated in Barcelona in the quarter-finals.

At the European Championships in Helsinki in 1994 , she won another silver medal with the relay. Together with Natalja Anissimowa , Galina Maltschugina and Irina Priwalowa, she only had to admit defeat to the quartet from Germany in a time of 42.96 minutes .

At the 1995 World Championships in Gothenburg she was seventh over 200 meters, and fifth at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta in the 100-meter run . There she was tested positive for bromantane during the doping control and was given a warning. In 1997 she finished sixth in the 200-meter run at the World Championships in Athens . Two years later at the World Championships in Seville , however, she failed in the quarter-finals. In 1997 and 1999, she missed the finals with the Russian relay.

At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 , she started in the 100 and 200-meter run, but did not survive the preliminary round in both disciplines. The Russian team initially took fifth place in the 4 x 100 meter relay and moved up to fourth place after the later disqualification of the US relay.

Marina Trandenkowa is 1.70 m tall and weighed 60 kg when she was active. She was married to the former Russian pole vaulter Igor Trandenkow .
