Pam Marshall
Pam Marshall (born August 16, 1960 ) is a former American athlete .
Marshall was national champion in the 100 and 200 meter run in 1986 . Over the 200 meters, she successfully defended her title the following year. At the World Athletics Championships in Rome in 1987 , she won the gold medal in front of the teams from the GDR and the Soviet Union as the final runner in the 4 x 100 meter relay together with Alice Brown , Diane Williams and Florence Griffith-Joyner . She also finished fourth in the 200-meter run and eighth in the 100-meter run. In 1988 she ran the 200 meters in 21.93 seconds, only 22 hundredths of a second slower than the world record held by Marita Koch and Heike Drechsler at the time.
Pam Marshall is 1.78 m tall and had a competition weight of 63 kg.
