Beverly McDonald (born February 15, 1970 in Saint Mary ) is a former Jamaican sprinter .

She won the majority of her international medals as a member of the Jamaican 4 x 100 meter relay . Her greatest successes include the gold medal at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and winning the title at the 1991 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo . In addition, with the relay she won the silver medal at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney and at the 1995 and 1997 World Championships, as well as the bronze medal at the 1999 and 2001 World Championships.

In total, she took part in three Olympic Games and seven world championships. As a single starter, she won the silver medal over 200 meters at the 1999 World Athletics Championships in Seville . At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000, she was initially fourth over the 200 meters. After first-placed Marion Jones was subsequently stripped of her medal, McDonald was awarded the bronze medal. At the same distance she finished fifth at the 2003 World Athletics Championships in Paris .

She also won the Central American and Caribbean Games in 1998 in Maracaibo over 100 meters and was five times Jamaican champion, four times over 200 meters (1998-2000, 2002) and once over 100 meters (1998). In 1999 she was named Jamaica's Sportswoman of the Year .

Her younger brother Michael McDonald is also a successful athlete.
