Gabi Rockmeier
Gabriele Rockmeier (born November 29, 1973 in Moosburg an der Isar ) is a German athlete and Olympic participant. Like her twin sister Birgit , Gabi Rockmeier is a sprinter, but unlike Birgit, she specializes in the short sprint distances (60, 100 and 200 meters). At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 , she finished sixth with the 4 x 100 meter relay. Her greatest success is the gold medal in the 4 x 100 meter run at the 2001 World Championships in 42.32 seconds together with Melanie Paschke , Birgit Rockmeier and Marion Wagner . The German season had initially taken second place behind the USA season. After the US sprinter Kelli White was subsequently disqualified for doping, the German relay team was awarded the world title in June 2004.
Gabriele Rockmeier had a competition weight of 53 kg with a height of 1.76 m. Until the end of her career, she started for the LG Olympia Dortmund .
