Jeanette Bolden

Jeanette Bolden (born January 26, 1960 in Los Angeles ) is a former American athlete who won an Olympic gold medal in 1984.

Jeanette Bolden was already a member of the US team at the 1981 World Cup , where she won the 4 x 100 meter relay . At the 1984 Olympic Games in her hometown of Los Angeles , Bolden finished fourth in the 100-meter run in 11.25 s . The season in the cast Alice Brown , Jeanette Bolden, Chandra Cheeseborough and Evelyn Ashford won the final in 41.65 s with over a second ahead of the Canadian season.

Bolden's fastest time of 11.08 s dates back to 1986, recorded at the meeting in Zurich. In 1983 she set world best performances in the hall with 5.80 s over 50 yards and 6.60 s over 60 yards. In 1986 it set the world record again with 6.54 s. She retired in 1988 after injuring herself in the Olympic qualification for Seoul.

During her career, Bolden studied at UCLA . After her studies she assisted Bob Kersee and since 1994 Jeanette Bolden has been the head coach of the track and field athletes at UCLA. She was also appointed head coach of the US women's team at the 2008 Olympic Games .

Jeanette Bolden was 1.74 m tall and weighed 65 kg. She is married and has two kids.
