Tianna Bartoletta (* the 30th August 1985 as Tianna Madison in Elyria , Ohio ) is an American athlete . She initially specialized in the long jump and later started in the sprint .

Bartoletta's first major success was winning the long jump gold medal at the 2005 World Championships with a personal record of 6.89 m. In 2006, she was first second in the long jump at the World Indoor Championships in Moscow (6.80 m), later they moved to the Dopingdisqualifikation of Tatyana Kotova prior to first place.

In 2012, she set her personal best in the 100-meter run at the Olympic Games and narrowly missed the bronze medal. With the season, however, she won gold and ran a world record with her.

At the beginning of winter 2012/13 she was brakeman in bobsleigh by Elana Meyers .

In 2015, ten years after her first title with a width of 7.14 m in Beijing , she became world champion in the long jump again.

Bartoletta also won the gold medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro with a width of 7.17 m. She then won gold again with the US 4 x 100 meter relay.

Tianna Bartoletta is 1.68 m tall and weighs 61 kg.
